Outdoor DIY wedding, Somerset
Hannah and Shane began the day by tying the knot with a lovely ceremony at St Andrew’s church. They went on to celebrate at the rustic and beautifully decorated Kenn Village Hall in Clevedon near Bristol. I take my hat off to Hannah & Shane; I am in awe of the transformation they created at the village hall. With simple decorations of bunting, fairy lights and a backdrop of white and hessian. They really complemented the wood of the hall and created a lovely country charm. The couple aren’t the only ones with a great eye in the family; Hannah’s talented sister made the bouquets from silk flowers. A great alternative to real flowers if you’re looking for a wedding day keepsake.
Kenn Village Hall has a great outdoor space, perfect for games and socialising. Luckily for us we made the most of it with what turned out to be a scorcher of a day. The happy couple created a relaxed atmosphere on their special day. A hog roast in the evening, a trailer with added hay bales for a unique seating area.T he sweetest of vintage bars in the form of a van called Humphrey and a marquee with classic games like ring toss and splat-the-rat. And for any cheese lovers, they had the ideal wedding cake alternative; a literal cheese cake. Hannah & Shane’s big day is a great example of what can be done with a vision, some beautiful décor, elbow grease and a good eye. Congratulations, Hannah & Shane!
