Bohemia was the inspiration for our styled shoot on this very wet & windy day in May. Fortunately we had secured the amazing Coed Weddings near Cowbridge, South Wales. Although the outdoors is beautiful in its own right, we were able to shelter & give the attention the indoor set up truly deserved. Coed & I were keen to promote all local Welsh businesses (all bar one – Wolf & Moon is London based – I couldn’t resist their headpieces). The visual was a joint effort between Sessy and myself with help from Oh So Curious’s amazing collection and my personal collection of reeds, grasses & peacock chair to soften the edges.

Pastel tones, natural fabrics and luxury touches for a shoot with bohemian references.
We went with a soft Bohemian look in the white, rustic inside of Coed’s Jacobean barn. The Welsh cake wedding cake from Rogue Welsh Cakes along with the incredible hanging floral arrangement by Monique Quinn made a real statement centre piece for our table set up. The table was really brought together with Oh So Curious’ chic tableware. Sessy at Paper date tries to find alternatives with her eco range that is made from kiwi pulp (pictured), corn & seeds. The latter so that the invite can be used to grow wild flowers.

Emma looked both boho and classic in Laura May Bridal whilst Nathan wore his own collection with retro touches in my favourite velvet bow tie from Nathan Palmer bespoke. Floral headdress & earrings from Wolf & Moon really set off the bohemian vibes. Combined with natural makeup and soft waves by Charlotte at Beauty Style; Emma looked like a real goddess. Real couple Emma & Nathan gave us all the effortless & natural love that comes with this excellent pair; beautiful & completely natural.

Coed Weddings near Cowbridge is an amazingly alternative eco wedding venue. Coed embraces a different approach to the wedding industry. They focus on reducing their environmental impact; their wedding day zero waste policy means that everything must be recyclable or reusable. The residents work the land using traditional methods, grow organic veg and manage the ancient woodland, lakes and meadows. Coed’s is situated in view of South Wales’ Jurassic coastline. They are also just a stone’s throw from Welsh Capital, Cardiff; it really is a little eco utopia. We spent our shoot in Coed’s beautifully rustic, bright and airy Jacobean barn.
