The Mansion House Wedding, Newport, South Wales

THE WEDDING DAY

Childhood sweethearts, Zoe & Harry, tied the knot at the Mansion House in Allt-yr-yn, Newport. The bride & groom opted for a relaxed affair with a few close members of family present and then headed on for a meal after the ceremony.

The Mansion House is a great option for those wanting a simple ceremony in Newport. Close to the centre of Newport & located in Stow Park Circle, the lovely Mansion House was originally the residence of the Major of Newport until 2009. At one time in it’s history it also served as judges’ lodgings.

John Liscombe, leather merchant and saddler built the house in the 1890s. Liscombe became the Mayor of Newport in 1905; you can see his portrait at the bottom of the stairs at the Mansion House. The Victorian building is a grand but still homely venue to tie the knot.

I love that Zoe opted for a dried floral bouquet. Massively underrated and ready to keep! And of course, their four-legged-friend had to get in on the family portaits! Congratulations to the happy couple!
