It’s been a dream of mine to organise a styled elopement shoot at Blaen y Glyn Isaf Waterfalls for a long time. The falls create a dramatic backdrop, they are very romantic and serene. I love to slow down and allow time for the couple to enjoy the moment post ceremony. Especially when it involves embracing the wild landscape of Wales.
Harriet, of One Splendid Day, created a beautiful spring floral bouquet for us. Choosing a long silk wrap that moved in the wind and reflected the movement of the falls.
Zoe, of Ginger Bear Bakery, made a retro style cake with added bows and pale pink icing to match the bouquet.
Jordan & Emily embraced the cool March day to capture the elopement shoot of my dreams in a Monsoon dress and an All about Eve pearl veil.
We went for a natural look with a little added sparkle for Emily’s make up by Masuma at Vanity tales makeup.
We chose a pony with a few added pearls for Emily opting for a relaxed and understated style that allowed for the wind! All the vendors used are detailed below.
We were keen to show how you can embrace the outdoors on your elopement day. Even if it’s winter and a little grey! Prioritising a few key things like bringing a small cake and bouquet with you elevates the experience. Make it feel special and exciting even it’s just the two of you.
